About Us
My name is Megan, I started out as a dog trainer way back in 2010 and have worked a lot as a rescuer of dogs. I have adopted dogs and believe that adoption is a great option for a lot of people. Though I believe in adoption, I am now a mother of a 7 year old son. Since having him I have become more cautious around rescued dogs, though I still help when I can. I have seen the unstable temperaments of ill bred dogs, which are often the dogs that you find in rescues. Don't get me wrong, I've caught 40 dogs in the last 4 years and found their owners or found them happy safe homes. So I whole heartedly believe in rescuing.
Though I help, I also believe that some families would rather start out with a young puppy that was bred for health and temperament. For that reason I started my poodle breeding program, choosing only healthy, well mannered and tempered dogs as the mothers and fathers of my litters.

My puppies start out loved from day one, regularly held, groomed, and stimulated with Early Neurological Stimulation and Puppy Culture. They are indoor puppies just like their parents, and I want them to enjoy the best lives possible, so I only send them to owners that want indoor dogs.
Though training my puppies starts from day one with Early Neuro Stimulation and Puppy Culture, my puppies start their formal training from 3 weeks until they go home. The first thing we start on is the potty training at 3 weeks, then around 5 weeks we work on crate training. Once they are 5 weeks old I also start working on sit and settle. Settle is the command I use to get them to calm down. I also work on leash behavior and coming when called. These puppies will come home ready to be loved and obedient. Though I start the puppies out with a head start with training from an early age, more training will be needed as they age. Training is a life time commitment as is grooming and vet care.

Grooming behavior is also an essential thing for any sized poodle, which means I start on that as soon as possible as well. I start nail trims at 2 weeks of age, face and potty patch are started at 3 weeks old, I mess with their feet, tails, face and legs as often as possible to insure they are used to being handled as they are being groomed. At 5 weeks of age I do their face, feet, and potty patch. I give them baths starting at 4 weeks of age and use a small hairdryer to get them ready for the power dryers that most professional groomers use in their salons. I get them acclimated to being brushed and combed which is a weekly requirement for poodles in order to maintain a healthy tangle free coat. I recommend grooming be done at minimum every 6-8 weeks, longer coats may need to be done as often as every 4 weeks, no matter the length between grooming, combing and brushing is a WEEKLY requirement. I prepare them for their rigorous grooming requirements by exposing them early on in hopes of making their future grooming as stress free as possible for both the dog and the person grooming the pup.
